The Great Book

A book so finally printed
Serving so many purposes
To be looked at in a minute
Or to be viewed as a piece of art
To be watched as a cover
To excite the open heart
Or to be placed under a table
Stabilizing the fragile part
To be read like a novel
Grasping the knowledge
For a book with so many purposes
What could it be
A book so fine few ever see
He was nothing more than a book
And a great book was he
Maybe to be talked about
Maybe to be laughed at
Maybe to be read
Maybe to be looked at
But that book I read
And what a great book was he
Exploring that book like a detailed map
Charting the course
Plotting a direction
That few could only get
Fore that book was nothing more
Then nothing to be
And that my friend
Is a great book to me
